The Nave

This is the room in a church where pews and the pulpit would go. The pews are gone, making a spacious, open room with a peaked wooden ceiling. Magda sets up a projection screen for movies played off a laptop and a cheap projector. In SLAY1, the furniture is beat-up and third-hand, at best. One feature is the beer-pong table, which doubles as a triage table when Lincoln comes back all torn up from his fights.

The Workshop/Armory

Description from SLAY1:

Holes in the wall patched, the surface coated in white paint. It wasn’t smooth, but it was dry, and bright, bouncing back light cast by rows of new fluorescents in diamond-plate fixtures.
The floor was smooth, fresh concrete topped by a gray epoxy coating flecked with bits of black and red.
Three industrial benches lined one wall. A hardwood-topped workbench sat in the middle of the basement, its front side lined with handled drawers. A pegboard with tools hanging from them. Space heaters. A weaver’s station with three mortar and pestle sets of different sizes, and shelves ready for vials and urns and bins of fiber and mesh. Hammers, saws, a drill press, a grinder wheel, a jigsaw.
A stand for Lincoln’s armor. No longer would she have to stack the meshwork steel that protected him in a loosely organized pile on the floor."
And on the south wall, a bench press and bar, an exercise rack full of handles and cables and stacks of weights, a treadmill, a stationary bike, a row of dumbbells, a speed bag and a heavy bag. A sparring mat, and near it against the wall, a rack of wooden training weapons: swords, bokkens, axes, spears, knives, staves and more.
Gun racks, stacked with Lincoln’s bread-and-butter firearms as well as the various weapons that had lived in a pile in the nave before Ariella had moved them to various nooks and crannies around the church.
Was that… a shooting range? Only one lane, sure, but twenty-five yards long with a motorized running man garget and an actual bullet trap.
Magda’s head swam. What had been a crumbling mausoleum of the church’s glory days was now a warm and dry abode for training, and maintaining Lincoln’s weapons, armor, and meshwork.
