40 | 3 | The Lich in Lynchburg | December 31, 2023 |
Faced with dwindling options and many bills, Ariella gave Lincoln a contract to fulfill — taking out a lich in Lynchburg, Virginia. 43 | 6 | Auntie | January 21, 2024 |
Lincoln is at the Bastion to pay his respects to the Clostator, the sect’s spiritual and military leader. He’s been told she doesn’t have long to live. What will this old warrior have to say to him?
Back in Lumencia, Ariella, Magda, and Billy prepare for a visit from Kellius Droman, one of the baddest wizards in town. They’ve hired him to beef up security at the Old Stone Church — what happens when he finds out they can’t pay for his services?
44 | 7 | Paninis For All | January 27, 2024 |
Billy needs to learn how to use his powers. Ariella asked Kellius Droman to train him in exchange for Lincoln acting as a bodyguard for Kellius’s teenage daughter, Delilah. Kellius’s response? He needs a protector, not a killer. Bill will have to find training elsewhere.
Droman did, however, improve the magical security of the Old Stone Church, for which he charged a high price — a price Ariella and Magda were unable to pay. Ariella asked Lincoln to sell her golem charm for five hundred gold, an amount that would have paid for Droman’s work and then some. Lincoln did not get the amount Ariella asked for, but he did score a nice pawnshop panini maker.
45 | 8 | Flick That Bic | February 3, 2024 |
Lincoln found Thoko Chikondi, a thief who sold a stolen magic carpet to Teddy Two-Fingers, the man who kidnapped Lincoln’s son, Sam, and sent him to the purgatory known as The Shelf. Lincoln had a little chat with Thoko and learned that Thoko had placed a meshwork tracker on the carpet in hopes of stealing it a second time.
Ariella asked Kellius Droman, a powerful, dangerous, and extremely dangerous mage, to train Billy to use his innate magical power in exchange for Lincoln guarding Kellius’s teenage daughter, Delilah. Kellius turned down the offer, leaving Billy’s training duties to Magda and Ariella.
46 | 9 | Magic Carpet Ride | February 10, 2024 |
Magda tried to teach Billy to control his innate powers, but the plan went awry as Billy’s frustration turned into intense heat that set the Old Stone Church’s basement ablaze. To make matters worse, an enraged Dragon just burst through the basement door to protect Billy — which puts Magda in grave danger.
Meanwhile, Lincoln tracked Teddy Two-Fingers to Kellius Droman’s mansion, where Teddy is using a meshwork carpet to sneak through Droman’s defenses in an apparent attempt to kidnap Droman’s thirteen-year-old daughter, Delilah. Lincoln used crossbow bolts charged with green hellfire to blow a gap in the wall surrounding Droman’s mansion, then drove his motorcycle straight for that hole.
47 | 10 | A Deal With the Droman | February 17, 2024 |
At Kellius Droman’s mansion, Lincoln fought Teddy Two-Fingers and his gang. Lincoln saved Droman’s thirteen-year-old daughter, Delilah, from being kidnapped by Teddy but couldn’t stop Teddy from killing Delilah’s bodyguard.
As Droman himself was about to arrive at the mansion, Lincoln called Ariella, hoping she could negotiate a deal with Droman, a deal that would see Lincoln get paid for collecting a bounty on the head of a man who kidnapped his son.
48 | 11 | The Waiver | February 24, 2024 |
Serial kidnapper Teddy Two-Fingers tried to abduct thirteen-year-old Delilah Droman from the mansion where she lives with her father, the billionaire wizard Kellius Droman. Lincoln foiled that attempt, driving off Teddy and two members of his gang: Hiamana, a mage, and Sophie, a brawler with long, dangerous claws. In the battle, Lincoln cut off Sophie’s left arm below the elbow.
Afterward, Kellius Droman agreed to train Billy in the ways of magic in exchange for Lincoln serving as Delilah’s bodyguard when Kellius was away from home. Now, Billy is in Cordis at Kellius’s “Nonagon,” ready for his first training session, while Lincoln returns to the Droman Mansion for his first shift protecting Delilah.
49 | 12 | The Loa in Louisiana | March 2, 2024 |
Lincoln’s part-time gig as Delilah Droman has money once again flowing into the Old Stone Church, but it’s not enough to get him, Magda, Ariella, and Billy out of debt, which is why Lincoln is off to the Bayoo to hunt down the Loa in Louisiana and collect the dead or alive bounty on her head.
Billy finished his first lesson with Kellius Droman. How did that go for Billy?
50 | 13 | Br'er Rabbit | March 9, 2024 |
Lincoln killed the Loa in Louisiana but had to face off against her familiar, a giant python intent on dragging Lincoln to the bottom of the swamp.
On that mission, Magda used the bauble recovered from the Lich in Lynchburg to mentally join Lincoln, seeing what he saw, hearing what he heard. It was the first time Magda had been involved in a hunt since her and Lincoln’s disastrous encounter with Vestinian.
51 | 14 | Walk of Shame | March 16, 2024 |
Shaken by Kellius Droman’s brutal killing of Thoko Chikondi, a despondent Lincoln set out in search of a drink or two at Stoolie’s Bar & Grill.
Back in Season One, Magda and Billy set up an online T-shirt store for a fictitious candy bar — P.J. Phuq’s Phuq-Ton O’ Nuts. Sales have been trickling in. The Old Stone Church’s main income is the money brought in from Linc guarding Delilah Droman, but it’s not the only business. The quest for bounties that pay in treasure continues.
52 | 15 | The Troglodyte in T-Wood | March 23, 2024 |
Ariella sent Lincoln to collect a bounty on the Troglodyte from Tollingwood, the Lumencia neighborhood Billy lived in with his grandmother. The troglodyte owes debts that must be paid with either gold or his head, but it’s the medallion he wears that Ariella wants.
53 | 16 | Goth Kid | March 30, 2024 |
Teddy Two-Fingers missed his shot at kidnapping Delilah Droman, who he wanted as his “foreman” in his malevolent nightmare-harvesting operation. Can he find a replacement candidate?
Delilah’s father, Kellius Droman, hired Lincoln as Delilah’s bodyguard. When Kellius hunts Teddy Two-Fingers or trains Billy, Lincoln must stay at the Droman Mansion and protect young Delilah. Surprisingly, Lincoln and Delilah have hit it off. She trusts he can keep her safe, while he benefits from her optimism and youthful energy that he can’t experience from his own child, Sam, who remains trapped on The Shelf — where Teddy put him. Billy’s training with Kellius goes on at Kellius’s facility, the “Nonagon,” in the mystical city of Cordis. Billy needs to find his “loom,” the structure upon which he can channel the powerful, innate magic that courses through his body.
54 | 17 | Samuel | April 6, 2024 |
The stone medallion that Lincoln and Billy acquired from the Troglodyte in Tollingwood is a conduit that will allow Lincoln to travel to The Shelf to see his son, Sam.
After five years in that purgatory-like realm, is Sam still alive? And if he is, what will he think of seeing his father for the first time in years, a father who has been unable to rescue him?
55 | 18 | Father & Son | April 13, 2024 |
Lincoln astral projected to The Shelf, where his young son, Sam, has been held captive for five years. Can Lincoln find a way to free his only child from that hellish dimension?
56 | 19 | Babysitters | April 20, 2024 |
Kellius Droman found out where Teddy Two-Fingers had been hiding. Lincoln demanded to go with Droman to whoop some ass, but Droman refused to take Lincoln with him. Instead, he ordered Lincoln to go to his mansion to protect his daughter, Delilah.
Already distraught after seeing his son, Sam, on The Shelf, Lincoln grew despondent. As Droman magicked away to battle Teddy, Lincoln gave up. He downed a bottle of bourbon and headed for the mansion. Billy, feeling terrible for his friend, tagged along to give Lincoln moral support.
57 | 20 | Delilah | April 27, 2024 |
Kellius Droman and Morgan Stone set off to deal with Teddy Two-Fingers at an undisclosed location, but Teddy, Haimana, and Agneetha attacked Kellius Droman’s Barron Heights mansion with magic and a flame-throwing aerial drone that set Droman’s living guardian trees and much of the mansion ablaze. Lincoln and Billy, who were there guarding Delilah Droman, fought against Agneetha and Haimana’s murderous giant flying centipedes.
Lincoln had downed a bottle of whiskey, which slowed his reaction time, and let a drone get the drop on him. The drone fired a jet of flame that should have set Lincoln ablaze, but Billy somehow bent the flame toward himself and absorbed it, bringing it into his own body and making him so hot his clothes burned away. Billy was about to use this new power against Agneetha when a shot rang out — a bullet hit his shoulder, dropping him. Keg-sized killer beetles ripped the floor out from under Delilah. Lincoln dove after her but lost her in the smoke. She was taken by Agneetha, Teddy, and Haimana, who shot across Barron Heights and vanished into the night. Lincoln, unable to chase them, rushed to help Billy.
58 | 21 | In The Red | May 4, 2024 |
Lincoln and Billy lost Delilah to Teddy Two-Fingers, so Kellius Droman sent them packing. Billy took a shot to the shoulder that should have killed him — how did he survive?
Meanwhile, Teddy is about to put Delilah to work as the “foreman” in his nightmare factory. What do her duties entail?
59 | 22 | Hello, Lincoln | May 11, 2024 |
Teddy is training Delilah to work in his nightmare factory. She is learning her duties as “the foreman” of the operation.
Lincoln wants to find Delilah, but he has no leads. On the advice of his father, Jacoby Franks, Lincoln set out to “follow the pain.” Lincoln told Billy, Magda, and Ariella that he’s doing this alone, and ignored their efforts to help. When Delilah was taken from Droman’s mansion, Teddy put a bullet in Billy’s arm. Morgan Stone worked on the wound first, then, at the Old Stone Church, Magda tended to it, letting a wriggling carofactor slide in to repair the damage.
60 | 23 | Let's Ride | May 18, 2024 |
Teddy Two-Fingers kidnapped Delilah Droman from her father’s mansion in Barron Heights. Teddy is holding her captive at his “nightmare factory,” located deep underground in parts unknown, where he and Hiamana are training her to be the factory’s foreman.
Delilah is trying to find a way to escape or to get a message to Lincoln, as she believes Lincoln will rescue her. Lincoln was at Stoolie’s Bar & Grill, looking for Lupo and Booty Shooty, accomplices of the recently deceased Thoko Chikondi. Lincoln hopes they know where Teddy’s hideout is. Teddy, somehow, called Lincoln at the bar and poured salt in Lincoln’s wounds, driving Lincoln to start drinking the free shots offered by Maylene, a bartender there. Lincoln did not tell Magda, Ariella, or Billy where he was going, and he shut off his connection with Magda’s meshwork ear cuff. He’s been gone for hours, and they have no idea where he is.
61 | 24 | Follow the Pain | May 25, 2024 |
Lincoln went looking for a fight at Stoolie’s Bar and Grille. He found one. He intends to “follow the pain” and get Booty Shooty and Lupo to reveal the location of Teddy Two-Fingers.
Delilah’s training continues. She’s learned how to feed the thirty-two kids held captive in Teddy’s nightmare factory. She’s learned how to harvest filament from the parasitic dreamgaunts. Now, it’s time for her to learn how to change the children’s nightmares, how to make them even worse.
62 | 25 | Roach Clip | June 2, 2024 |
Lincoln got himself in a whole heapin’ helpin’ of trouble. He started a fight at Stoolie’s bar, got his ass whooped, then sucker-punched Finish The Job Johnson, which got Lincoln’s ass thrown into a gutter, where Basil Beverly — second in command of the Bastion — and his socius Rochelle Kolar tried to bring Lincoln in for questioning regarding the kidnapping of Delilah Droman.
Can Billy and Dragon keep Lincoln from being carted away?
63 | 26 | The Foreman | June 9, 2024 |
Following the brawl at Stoolie’s Bar, and the showdown with rixator Basil Beverly and adjurator Rochelle Dollar, Billy took Lincoln back to the Old Stone Church.
Teddy Two-Fingers is reveling in his new foreman’s talents. Delilah Droman has been the find of the century for him and his nightmare-harvesting operation. Delilah, though, isn’t quite as excited. She spends her days amplifying the nightmares of children, forcing them to face their deepest terrors over and over again. If Delilah doesn’t do this, she will be the one experiencing the endless horror, and if she is tossed into that abyss, her plans or escape — for her and for the children — will drift away like that last tatters of a forgotten dream.
64 | 27 | Ransom | June 15, 2024 |
Magda used her healing talents to dress Lincoln’s bar fight wounds, but it will take him a bit of time to fully heal.
Billy, Ariella, Magda, and Lincoln are at a dead end in the search for Delilah Droman. With no leads and less hope, is it time to give up? If so, Delilah herself didn’t get that memo. She’s put her escape plan into play, and what a dangerous plan it is. Can she maneuver her way out of Teddy’s two-fingered clutches?
65 | 28 | Gabriella | June 22, 2024 |
Delilah continues her plan to escape Teddy Two-Fingers's clutches, using captive Gabriella Radu as a pawn. Delilah manipulates Teddy into ransoming Gabriella.
Lincoln and Billy had a run-in when Billy dumped all the booze, beer, and wine in the Old Stone Church. Things got heated and came to blows, stopping only when Gabriella’s father, Bogdan Radu, said his daughter must see Lincoln immediately.
66 | 29 | The Finger(s) | June 29, 2024 |
Lincoln visited Gabriella Radu at her home after Teddy ransomed her to her father. The little girl had been through hell and may never fully recover, but she brought with her a clue to Teddy’s whereabouts — a clue planted in her mind by Delilah Droman.
That clue? The name Finicus Sleidan, a darkmesh creator in Trenton, New Jersey, who is possibly the maker of dreamgaunts that Teddy uses on defenseless enlightened children in his hidden nightmare factory. Meanwhile, Delilah is breaking down. To stay alive and strive for a rescue, she’s used her new aptitude for dream manipulation to magnify the nightmares of Teddy’s captives. How much longer can Delilah keep this up?
67 | 30 | Deduction | July 6, 2024 |
Thanks to a clue that Delilah Droman planted in Gabriella Radu’s mind, Lincoln and Billy paid a visit to Finicus Sleidan, the maker of the dreamgaunts Teddy Two-Fingers uses to harvest nightmares from the children he’d kidnapped.
Sleidan didn’t know where Teddy was but did reveal the name of the company buying the gaunts – Wholesome Stuff, a firm that supplies restaurants like McDonald’s and Burger King. If Ariella, Lincoln, Billy, and Magda can find where Wholesome Stuff ships to, they have a chance at tracking down Teddy, as it’s known Teddy feeds his forty-plus captives fast-food-style burgers and fries. After following the Wholesome Stuff trail to a dead end, Lincoln and Ariella went to work calling their lawyer contacts, hoping to find someone who could uncover Wholesome Stuff’s business connections via permits, tax returns, and other legal mechanisms.
68 | 31 | Value Meal | July 13, 2024 |
Working together, Lincoln, Billy, Magda, and Ariella learned that Teddy’s lair is beneath a Big Nasty’s restaurant in Cordis, close to the supernatural pawnshop known as “the Clearinghaus,” and also close to the Bastion’s fortress headquarters.
The Bastion has a magical interference zone around it, a zone that includes the Clearinghaus and Big Nasty’s. This zone, affected by a persistent spell known as “mesh-buzz,” hides the detection of all meshwork within it. It also makes magic unpredictable — sometimes magic works fine, sometimes it produces unexpected results, and sometimes it doesn’t work at all. Lincoln and Billy left for the Clearinghaus, where they planned to meet with rixators Sophia Franks and Lukas Franks, Lincoln’s sister and brother, respectively, and with Kellius Droman and his assistant Morgan Stone.
69 | 32 | Going Down | July 20, 2024 |
Lincoln, Billy, Lukas, Sophia, Kellius Droman, and Morgan Stone assaulted the Big Nasty’s burger joint located just outside the main gates of the Bastion’s fortress in Coris. At the restaurant, Lincoln and his comrades found the elevator that leads to Teddy Two-Finger’s lair.
In that lair, Teddy is already evacuating his “line workers,” the kidnapped paranormal children whose nightmares he harvests to make the purest filament in existence, filament for which Teddy demands — and receives — astronomical sums from weavers and meshworkers alike. Teddy also let loose his leash on Haimana, his powerful meshworker who pledged to kill Kellius Droman this very day or die trying. Haimana isn’t alone in her bloodlust — Teddy’s centipede-armed, orange-clawed thug Agneetha wants Lincoln's head. Haimana, Agneetha, and many of Teddy’s thuengol mercenaries prepare to fight Lincoln, Droman, and the others. Meanwhile, Teddy’s prized, prodigal “foreman” — Kellius’s daughter Delilah — is done with waiting to be rescued. Her sanity cracking at the edges, Delilah is about to take matters into her own hands and unleash devastating dream-magic upon her captor.
70 | 33 | Home Field Advantage | July 27, 2024 |
Haimana has had years to prepare for a duel to the death with Kellius Droman. Can Billy and Morgan tilt the scales?
Lincoln and Sophia are pushed to the edge. Will they survive the day? Oh, and hey, take a memo — do not incur the wrath of Delilah. Who lives? Who dies? Season Two is almost complete.
71 | 34 | Vengeance | August 3, 2024 |
With Magda’s help, Lincoln saved his sister Sophia’s life, using Sophia’s healing mesh to stave off the effects of Agneetha’s centipede poison. After giving Lincoln her rixator cloak, the Man in Gray is going after Delilah… and Teddy Two-Fingers.
In another part of the sprawling cell block complex, Morgan Stone engulfed Haimana in a whipping tornado. The mesh-buzz effect short-circuited Droman’s magic — will it do the same to Morgan’s and Billy’s if he tries to use his? Teddy Two-fingers knows he’s lost the battle. He tried to flee through a secret tunnel in his room, only to be dragged out by a young storm-mage, Mata Kasintseva. But was it Mata who pulled Teddy out, or was it Delilah Droman who is using the dreamgaunts wrapped around the captive children’s heads to control their powers?
72 | 35 | Termination | August 10, 2024 |
Deep underground in Teddy Two-Fingers’s cell block lair, Haimana’s giant scorpion delivered a massive dose of poison to Kellius Droman. Kellius is down for the count — is he dying? Fueled by rage, Billy unleashed his internal power and torched Haimana’s killer beetles. Under the light of ten thousand fireflies, Billy rises up for the final battle with Haimana, but first, he must defeat the same scorpion that down his teacher.
With the help of her fellow captives that she may or may not be controlling, Delilah defeated Teddy Two-Fingers. He lies on the floor of his room, bound in guitar strings, bleeding heavily from a tiger swipe to the arm. The dreamgaunts crawled down from the captives heads, and were crawling toward Teddy. Meanwhile, Lincoln searches the cell block complex, hunting for Teddy, who is the only one who can tell Lincoln how to get Lincoln’s son, Samuel, off the purgatory-like hellscape known as The Shelf. Will he reach Teddy before it’s too late?
73 | 36 | Payment Due | August 18, 2024 |
Lincoln, Delilah, Billy, Sophia Franks, Lukas Franks, and Morgan Stone, Kellius Droman defeated Teddy Two-Fingers, Haimana, Agneetha, and Teddy’s thuengol henchmen, securing the release of the children Teddy kept captive for years.
In the process, Lukas was badly injured, Kellius Droman died, and Teddy was left catatonic, completely unresponsive to Lincoln’s questions about how to get his son Sam off The Shelf. Agneetha died, too, at the hands of Lincoln, and Haimana burned alive as a result of Billy’s out-of-control power. It is the first time Billy has taken a life.
74 | 37 | The Final Nightmare | August 24, 2024 |
When Kellius Droman died, his age-suppression spell on Delilah evaporated. She went from thirteen years old to twenty-two years old almost instantly. While she will inherit her father’s empire, she’s angry and bitter at his manipulation.
Only one person in the world understands the pain of being unknowingly magically modified by a person who is supposed to love you and protect you — Billy Middleton, whose powers and true physical were hidden from him by his grandmother. Delilah’s nightmare-generating powers are stronger than anyone could have known. The last person to find that out the hard was Teddy Two-Fingers, who now lies catatonic in a Bastion cell. Meanwhile, Lincoln Franks, the Man in Gray, left Callista’s club in Lumencia, saying that there was something he needed to destroy. What is his target?
