Overview
The **Unweaver** is a prophesied figure foretold to bring about the **downfall of the Bastion**, release the imprisoned **Jorogumo**, and enslave all life on Earth. Considered by many to be a conspiracy theory or heretical superstition, the prophecy is nonetheless quietly accepted by numerous high-ranking Bastion officials—some of whom believe the Bastion was formed for the sole purpose of stopping this event.
Prophecy Traits
According to hidden texts and Bastion-witheld lore, the Unweaver will possess:
- **Emerald-green eyes**
- The ability to **shapeshift or conceal their true form**
- Protection from a **rogue Rixator**
- A connection to a place where **anemones are cultivated**
Cultural Impact
While officially dismissed by Bastion leadership as crackpot nonsense, belief in the prophecy persists within the organization, particularly among old guard figures like:
- **Jacoby Franks**, former high-ranking operative and father of Lincoln Franks
- **Basil Beverly**, the current **Clostasecundo** (next in line to lead the Bastion)
Suppression and Danger
Information about the Unweaver is heavily redacted in official records. Merely speaking the name in some Bastion circles can be grounds for reassignment or silencing. Others, however, actively search for signs that the Unweaver has already emerged.
Billy Middleton Connection
In later books, **Billy Middleton** is suspected of being the Unweaver. His shapeshifting nature, green eyes, connection to magical fire, and protection by a rogue rixator make him a prime target for investigation—and potential elimination.
