Angus Kool is a supporting character in the novel EarthCore by author Scott Sigler.

Character Background

Angus Kool is the main scientist of EarthCore. The company uses his many impressive inventions and his intellect to explore the extensive cavern system. His best, and perhaps only friend is Randy Wright, another scientist employed by EarthCore. Angus invents most of the machines used in the Funeral Mountain excavation, including the mapping technology used to plot out the caverns, the drilling equipment, and the temperature regulating Kool Suits which allow miners to survive in the caves.

Angus is incredibly arrogant. Aside from Randy, he treats other people like dirt. He also enjoys the comic strip Peanuts.

The character of Angus Kool is named in a tribute to AC/DC guitarist Angus Young. [1]
