=Background=
[[Hunter Hunterson & Sons]] is a series of stories featuring a redneck monster hunting family from Slayerville, Kentucky. The family relocates to San Francisco in their first story and all stories in the series are based there, highlighting the fish-out-of-water style of the series. Hunter Hunterson’s small-town, blue-collar conservative redneck demeanor is constantly and continuously challenged by San Francisco’s liberal, high-priced, big-city nature.
=Stories=
Hunter is not only a supernatural bounty hunter; he also aspires to be a writer. He keeps track of his adventures in his diary, which he calls Tales of the Hunt. The different tales are collected in volumes and released as War Journals.

The first three stories in the series were released in Scott Sigler’s short story collections, [[Blood is Red]] and [[Bones are White]]. Subsequent stories were included in 3rd-party anthologies, and one was read live during [[SiglerFest 2K17]].

The order in which the stories were originally released is not the same order in which the stories are collected in War Journals.
