Mike King The Mora I think is in the Champion.
Listen to episode 23 at 26:18. It is a stretch but the vocal inflection is similar.

Petra is a fan of Harry Potter. (description of her from Ancestor chapter 3.)
Fishbone references to U-G-L-Y in The Rider and The Champion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrcjV8UzSoY
The MVP pg 85. Petra references the Star Wars opening crawl when she says "on another planet far, far away..."
Scott used it again in The MVP, pg 134. John's face tattoo says "you wouldn't like Ma when she gets angry"...
MVP, pg 139, Quentin closes his eyes and holds his finger tips to his temples and finishes John's thought for him...the mannerisms there, along with the reference to Uncle Johnny, make me think of the bit Johnny Carson was famous for on the Tonight Show, Carnac the Magnificent.
In the MVP, pg 303, John is asking Q if he's high, then his face tattoo says"just say no", an obvious reference to Nancy Reagan's anti-drug campaign of the '80s and early '90s.
MVP pg 314, John says halftime adjustments? We don't need no stinking halftime adjustments." This is a play on the "we don't need no stinking badges" quote which has been spoofed numerous times in pop culture. My first encounter with it was in the movie UHF. https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Stinking_badges
MVP pg ? John arrogantly says, "They can't touch me. GFL Immunity." This is reminiscent of the bad guy in Lethal Weapon who attempts to hide behind his diplomatic immunity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOBXH-5QrGU
MVP - various. Prawatt names are pop culture reference. Katzenbaum Weasley (Harry potter); Tommyboy Snuffalupagus (Tommy Boy, Sesame Street)
