Vincent Epperson is a character in the novel The Crypt by author Scott Sigler. The character is initially introduced in episode five of the podcast.

Character Background

Vincent Epperson is a Fleet Admiral with the Planetary Union Navy.

Notable Connections

  • Yolanda Smith - Yolanda was Epperson’s mistress. She thought by becoming pregnant with Epperson's child he would fall in love with her and they would become a family. Instead, it earned her a one way ticket as a new recruit on the P.U.V. James Keeling. Before being shipped off to The Crypt, Yolanda had stolen an info dot of sensitive information from Admiral Epperson. It is unclear what information this dot holds, however it is clear Yolanda means to use it as blackmail against the Admiral.
  • Michael Levy – Michael was Epperson’s nephew who joined the Naval Academy to become a combat surgeon with the 68-G Combat Surgeons or The Greyhounds. Epperson was vocal about his displeasure with Michael declining to follow his family military heritage of holding a commanding post in order to become a combat surgeon. However, Epperson used his influence to make it possible for both Michael and his girlfriend Angela Stuart to both serve aboard the same destroyer, the P.U.V. Gilchrist.
