Description

From VOIDSTRIKE: Francis “Book” Sands held a flexipaper in one hand. He wore his eight-pointed cover, bent bill set low to hide his eyes. It also somewhat hid the scar on his cheek from when PXO Winter sliced him open with a homemade copper shiv while in the Mud.

Sands is a typical Raider, big and strong and solid.

Personality

Sands loves to show off his vocabulary, turning rote situations into opportunities for eloquence.

Family

Friends

Sands considers John Bennett a close friend, although they spent most of their careers apart. Sands takes his role as platoon sergeant seriously enough he doesn't make close friends with his platoon mates.

Reason for Keeling Assignment

Sands witnessed admiral Vincent Epperson in a secure area of the Akathaso, canoodling with a much younger civilian who did not have clearance to be in that area. Sands refused to back down from Epperson's threats and filed an official report. Epperson made the report go away and had Sands assigned to Keeling.
