==Historical Notes==
Bartel's growth as a football franchise closely follows that of its eponymous city. When Bartel was the fourth largest city on Tower, the Water Bugs were one of a handful of teams that founded the Tower Football League (TFL) of Tier Three. The franchise was admitted to Tier Two in 2676, the same year Bartel became Tower's third largest city. The Water Bugs won the T2 Tourney in 2678. In 2680, Bartel grew to champions with a 39-30 Galaxy Bowl win over the [[To Pirates]].
