The Bastion is a monster-hunting organization. The Bastion includes:
- Clostator the head of the Bastion, equivalent to the Pope of the Catholic church. The Clostator calls all the shots.
- In the series, this person used to be Jacoby Franks's fighting partner.
- This person tried to get Lincoln to stay in the Bastion.
- Name lost for now the "Clostator-in-waiting."
- In the series, this is Basil.
- Name lost for now the third-in-line to take over. In the series, this person is Shaheem.
- Monks: Monks are an as-yet-undescribed part of the organization.
- Rixators: The "fighter" class of the Bastion. Rixator is a bastardization of the the Latin work "Rixor," which means "brawler."
- Adjurators: The "sorcerer" class of the Bastion. Adjurator is an alternate version of "adiūrātor," Latin for a sorcerer or practitioner of magic.
