As the caterpillar is to the butterfly, the child is to the adult; the latter can not exist unless the former ceases to be. A teenage girl awakens trapped in a coffin, the chrysalis meant to usher in her personal spiritual transformation, but something has gone wrong with this ancient ritual — she doesn’t know where she is or how she got there. Other than her name, [[Em Savage]], she has zero knowledge of her past. Fighting her way free brings little relief — she discovers only a room lined with caskets and a handful of equally mystified teenage survivors. Beyond their crypt lies a corridor filled with bones and dust, but no people . . . and no answers.

Scott Sigler
ScottSigler.jpg

Scott Sigler wrote his first monster story in the third grade and hasn't stopped since. A creator of novels, short stories and screenplays, Scott's work revolves around modern science's dichotomy of simultaneously producing good and evil.

Scott reinvented book publishing when he released EarthCore as the world's first podcast-only novel. Released in twenty weekly episodes, EarthCore harkened back to the days of serialized radio fiction and picked up 10,000 subscribers along the way.

Ancestor, drew 30,000 listeners and saw 700,000 episodes downloaded by fans. The Ancestor buzz caused Sirius Satellite Radio to pick up the novel, making it the first audiobook serialized on the satellite network.

Scott's innovative use of technology puts him at the forefront of modern-day publishing, and has garnered brand-name exposure among hundreds of thousands of fiction fans and technology buffs. He's been covered in the Washington Post, Business Week, CNET, The Book Standard, MacWorld and the nationally syndicated radio show The Dragon Page.

The P.U.V. James Keeling has two objectives: raid enemy supply lines, and capture live specimens of a flesh-eating, warmongering alien species. The first mission is suicidal. The second might be worse.

But there’s a complication. The operation unfolds in the territory of a neutral power—one whose ships escort the enemy, and whose laws forbid Keeling’s crew from firing back. A single stray artillery shell could spark a second war, one the Planetary Union will not survive.

Through it all, the crew must endure the living nightmare of serving on the Crypt. Every “dive” through transdimensional space peels back another layer of reality. Crewmembers whisper of things seen in the dark, things that shouldn’t exist. Stress compounds. Sanity frays. A crew of rejects, thieves, murderers, and cowards—the “best of the worst“—face death at every turn.

When even your bunkmate might try to kill you, who has your back?

VOIDSTRIKE is Scott’s highly-anticipated second book in a five-book series published by Aethon books.
