JT Manis is a character in the novel The Starter by author Scott Sigler. The Starter is the sequel to the previously published novel, The Rookie.

JT Manis is the owner of the Galactic Football League (GFL) team named Jupiter Jacks.
Description
From [The Owner]: That man was JT Manis, owner of the Jupiter Jacks. Fury simmered in his brown eyes. Red-haired, perhaps sixty, the shallow ripples lining his cheeks were likely a side effect of skin rejuvenation therapy. He stood face-to-face with Quentin—or would have been face-to-face if he hadn’t been more than a foot shorter.
