Adrienne Boock is a character in the novel The Crypt by author Scott Sigler. The character is initially introduced in episode one of the podcast version of The Crypt Book 01: The Crew.
Character Background
Adrienne Boock has presided over several key criminal rulings that resulted in sentences aboard the P.U.V. James Keeling. As revealed in a discussion with Lt. JG Susanna Rossi, Boock appears to have some ulterior motives in staffing the Keeling with criminals. Boock reveals that she needs Rossi's scientific skills in order to fulfill her goals, but her full intentions have not yet been revealed.
Notable Judgments
- Antwone Williams - As a result of the events that took place during The Battle of Asteroid X7 on July 15, 2557, Captain Antwone Williams was charged with and found guilty of three serious crimes that were punishable by death. Cpt Williams was initially sentenced by Admiral Boock to Execution by Venting but was given an alternative sentencing of serving a two year tour on the P.U.V. James Keeling at his existing position which he declined in favor of death.
- Travis Ellis - Charged with the same crimes as Cpt. Williams, Commander Ellis was initially sentenced by Admiral Boock to Execution by Venting. However, since Ellis accepted the alternative sentencing of serving a two year tour on the P.U.V. James Keeling and Cpt. Williams did not, Ellis was promoted on the spot to Captain and Commanding Officer.
- Susanna Rossi - As a result of killing her superior officer, Rossi was supposed to be sentenced. However, Admiral Boock needed Rossi's scientific skills and offered her a chance to serve on the P.U.V. James Keeling under the alias of LT JG Bethany Darkwater as an Environmental Systems Engineer.
