SiglerFest 2013, the third SiglerFest, took place October 11 through 12, 2013, at The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although official programming was Friday and Saturday, SiglerFest was bookended by some pre-fest frivolity and some post-fest football camaraderie.

Theme

The theme of SiglerFest 2013 was Agents of S.I.G.L.E.R., a play on the popular Marvel Cinematic Universe television show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Thursday Night Activity

In established tradition, early arrivers met at Brendan's Irish pub for some drinks and meet and greet. SiglerFest veterans, rookies, A Kovacs and Scott Sigler all gathered to rub elbows and kick off the 'Fest. Dinner was hosted by DØM at Coasta Cantina Express and many full and satisfied junkies went to the onsite movie theater to watch Machete Kills.

Friday Programming

Friday morning's programming kicked off with Human Experimentation, during which Junkies volunteered to imbibe a variety of disgusting flavored soft drinks, such as Candy Corn and Ranch Dressing. Afterwards, Sigler read another story from his youth, [Need Story Name].

In short order, the year's cake was revealed: A beautiful giant triangle with creepy eyes, accompanied by Hydra cupcakes.

After lunch, the SiglerBus™ boarded and took junkies for an off-site excursion to The Neon Museum for a self-guided tour of Vegas neon signs of years past.

Upon returning to The Orleans, everyone took a break before meeting up for Karaoke. Though it was a slow start, Junkie Jerome Bird got the party jumping by singing Will Smith's Gettin' Jiggy Wid It with the substituted lyrics Gettin' Siggy Wid It. The performance brought down the house, and the clever wordplay ended up being the theme for SiglerFest 2014.

Saturday Programming

Saturday's programming began with Sigler reading some of the first draft of his work-in-progress, The Champion.

Next up was a round of Junkie Jeopardy, prepared by BigJohn Vizcarra.

After lunch, Sigler hosted an interview panel, featuring Scott E. Pond, the in-house designer for DØM, Steve "The Iceberg" Riekeberg, DØM's audio engineer, and Kelly "The Builder" McArdle. Scott and Steve talked about what is involved in producing content for DØM, and Kelly described his creation, a Lego version of The PUV James Keeling he brought to display.

After a break, Scott and A held a Q&A session coupled with "Impending DØM," where they outlined some of the forthcoming activity expected from Dark Øverlord Media in the upcoming months. The next event was the Orangeslaught and BlackOut photos. The Orangeslaught is a picture of junkies wearing their Ionath Krakens away jerseys, which are colored orange. The BlackOut photo is a photo of junkies wearing the Krakens home colors, black.

After pictures, everyone retreated for a break prior to meeting up at the onsite bowling alley for the bowling celebration. Once again, Scott wasn't feeling well so he stayed in his hotel room. Luckily, his cousin Francis Dominic Olivieri was on-hand to host the festivities and bowl everywhere.

Sunday Football

On Sunday morning, junkies gathered in Brendan's to watch their favorite football teams prior to saying their goodbyes and beginning their journeys home.

Cake Theme

Junkie Stephanie Harvey once again worked with Las Vegas Custom Cakes to create a gorgeous cake baed on the Triangles from Infected. To accompany the cake were cupcakes with a Pandemic Hydra sticking out of it.

Field Trip

The field trip for SiglerFest 2013 was to the Vegas Neon Museum, a self-guided tour through a graveyard of old signs for Vegas attractions that have either closed or been remodeled.

Live Readings

Sigler did a live reading during the Fest. He read one of the stories from his youth, [Need Story Name]. He also read from the first draft of The Champion.
