SLAY (Season 1)

The first season of SLAY includes the pilot and introduces the main characters, supporting characters and premise of the story. Season one establishes the relationships between the characters and is a slow buildup to the mano a mano showdown between Lincoln Franks and Teddy Two-Fingers, in the style of JUSTIFIED. Season one establishes the consequences of Lincoln's drug habit, and sets up the overarching plot thread that will cover all five seasons.

Anastasia Wainwright and her friend Kate attend an Ugly Christmas Sweater party, where they are drugged and bound by Dante, Chuck, and Arty. Dante eats Kate's heart. Anastasia knows she is next. Shitbird flies in, reconnoitering. Lincoln Franks, known only as "The Man in Gray" in this episode, kicks in the front door, announcing that there is a bounty on Dante's head. Lincoln tells Arty and Chuck he isn't there for them; they can go, but if they stay and fight he will cut them down. Chuck attacks and is killed. Lincoln kills Dante, cuts off his head, and places it in a rune box, which is then placed in his cloak of holding. Arty runs. The Sex Gnomes arrive to clean up the damage. Lincoln gives Anastasia a Forget-Me-Dot, which makes her pass out. When she wakes, the police tell her that Kate, Dant, and Chuck died of a drug overdose. Anastasia remembers nothing of the night's violence. She tells the police what Arty was wearing, hoping he is still alive.
2	2	A Little Dab'll Do Ya	January 8, 2023
Billy Middleton, encouraged by his childhood friend Joe, sets up a drug deal between local sources and Dante Oganov. At the warehouse where the deal goes down, Dante forces Billy to take a dab of nurple. Billy believes he is hallucinating when he sees Dante as a goblin and Dante's bodyguard Long-Tooth as an ogre. Lincoln (still known only as "The Man in Gray") attacks, killing Dante men, and Joe when he's standing next to Billy. Lincoln tells Billy "I ain't here for you" and lets him go. Billy runs. Lincoln kills Long-Tooth, then produces a sphere of sight, which lets Callista give Dante a warning to stay out of her city for good. She demands that Lincoln come and see her right away.

Billy seeks out the Nurp Purp to get some answers about magic, monsters, and the drug “nurple.” Ariella wants the Old Stone Church fixed up, no matter what Lincoln and Magda have to say about it.

Billy is about to get his ass whooped – again – while Lincoln and Shitbird track down a bounty. That bounty is Billy. Man… Lil’ B is having a bad morning, and it’s about to get worse.
13	13	Boss Hawg	March 26, 2023
Billy was trying to get answers from the Nurp Perp, but first, Big Hack showed up to spoil the party, then the Jerboa shadows appeared. Several bounty hunters, including Lincoln, an unknown man with six-shooters at his sides and a giant lizard on a leash, hit the Nurp Perp’s neighborhood looking to cash in on a $50k bounty on Billy’s head, a bounty set by Dante Oganov to get revenge on Billy. Another bounty hunter — known to Lincoln as “Boss Hawg” — also hit the neighborhood. While Lincoln sent Shitbird to hunt for Billy, Boss Hawg hit the 7-11 parking lot to talk to Butch and Money Monday, who, along with Big Hack, are members of the Rolling Outlaws gang that wants Billy to pony up five gees.
14	14	Lincoln vs. Everybody	April 2, 2023
Pragman, a bounty hunter wielding a pair of old-school Western six-shooters using a lizard-like “hound” to track his targets, cornered Billy in the Nurp Perp’s alley. Pragman was about to shoot Billy down, but the Man in Gray used his crossbow to shoot one of the guns out of Pragman’s hand. The Man in Gray claimed the Billy bounty for himself and told Pragman to either walk away or drawdown. Meanwhile, unaware of the faceoff between Pragman and Lincoln, Rolling Outlaws gang members Butch and Money Monday talked to Boss Hawg about joining forces to track down Billy. But wait, there are more bounty hunters in the neighborhood — the sword-wielding Flechette Sisters and the sorcerer Oleus Oakbeard are also hunting for Billy. Now Billy -- and the Nurp Perp -- can do nothing but watch as Billy’s fate is decided for him.
15	15	Ride or Die	April 9, 2023
Lincoln’s shootout with Pragman bathed the Nurp Perp’s alley in blood. Lincoln wanted to kill Billy and collect the 50-k bounty on Billy’s head but had a change of heart just as the Flechette Sisters were coming down the alley to cash in. The sisters were in hot pursuit, but Shitbird’s ariel bombardment bought Lincoln and Billy a bit of time. With the Flechettes in hot pursuit, Boss Hawg closing in, and Oleus Oakbeard lurking somewhere nearby, Lincoln tries to get Billy to safety.
16	16	The Trifecta	April 16, 2023
Lincoln and Billy are on the run from murderous bounty hunters who want to collect Billy’s head. A wild chase through the city led to the huge, old train station, where Lincoln hopes to escape their pursuers — by heading for the train station men’s room. Billy has no idea what this entails, but he knows if he doesn’t go with Lincoln, he’s toast. On the run from the sword-wielding, spike-throwing Flechette sisters, the roaring truck of Boss Hawg, and revenge-minded mage Oleus Oakbearded, Billy will have to take his chances that Lincoln’s intentions are good.
17	17	Sex Gnomes	April 23, 2023
Billy is on the run from a handful of bounty hunters out to collect his head. Lincoln was one of those bounty hunters but changed his mind and helped Billy run from the people who want him dead. They fled to Corids, a mysterious city in the supernatural realm known as “The Patchwork. There, Lincoln sought shelter from… well… from Bingles and his fellow Sex Gnomes. And Bingles seems to think that Lincoln owes him money… Meanwhile, Butch and Money Monday of the Rolling Outlaws gang want to work with Boss Hawg to collect the bounty on Billy, and they want to find out what happened to their friend Big Hack. When Boss Hawg drove his big-ass white pickup after Billy, Butch lost sight of him.
18	18	Strays	April 30, 2023
In Cordis, Lincoln and Billy escaped their pursuers and found their way back to the Old Stone Church. Home sweet home, but when they transited to the Church’s men’s room John, Lincoln succumbed to his wounds and passed out. What will Magda, Ariella, and Dragon think of Billy.
19	19	Dollars to Donuts	May 14, 2023
The bills are piling up. Lincoln owes Bingles a lot of gold and owes $10,000 to the contractors fixing up the Old Stone Church. He doesn’t have either, but Billy has ten grand stashed in his room at his grandma’s house. To get it, Lincoln has to make a solo run to a neighborhood where Oleus Oakbeard, Boss Hawg, and the Flechette Sisters might be waiting. Still reeling from the wounds of his last fight, Lincoln needs to bring home that bacon, or the entire gang will be fried up in a pan.
20	20	The Wyvern in Wyoming	May 21, 2023
Lincoln still has serious debts. He owes Bingles a helluva lot of gold. More important and more pressing, Lincoln has to start making payment on his contract with Callista, or she will stop protecting Lincoln's son, Sam, in the purgatory known as “the Shelf.” To get the treasure he needs to give to Callista, Lincoln needs to get back on the bounty-hunting tip, which means a trip to Wyoming and track down a really, really big lizard.
21	21	Fuck You, Pay Me	May 28, 2023
Lincoln is in Wyoming, tracking down a monster. If he succeeds in killing it, he’ll be rewarded with a magical bracelet he can use to pay Callista to keep his son safe. Meanwhile, Ariella’s contractors continue to make improvements on the Old Stone Church, and Magda tries to get to know Billy. Is he relatively innocent kid he seems to be, or is he hiding the truth?
22	22	Pay the Piper	June 4, 2023
Lincoln successfully killed the Wyvern in Wyoming and earned the reward — Hernhol’s Bracelet, the magic item he will use to pay Callista and change the nature of his contract with her. As long as he delivers it to her, and keeps making payments, he’ll be free of her control, and she’ll be forced to continue protecting his son Sam, who is trapped in the purgatory known as “the Shelf.”
23	23	Finish the Job Johnson	June 11, 2023
Lincoln was on his way to pay a first installment of treasure to Callista when he was jumped by Finish The Job Johnson, who knocked Lincoln unconscious. Meanwhile, work on the Old Stone Church continues as Ariella takes on more debt from unknown sources. Eager to find some way to bring in money, Magda let Billy convince her to start a company that will sell funny T-shirts. All they need is the right idea.
24	24	Step On It	June 18, 2023
Lincoln tried to alter his deal with Callista, but before he could get to her, Finish The Job Johnson got to him. Lincoln wound up in chains, about to be beheaded by Callista’s bodyguard Bobby when Ariella Goldsmith came in with a gun to Gary Satyr’s head. Now, Lincoln’s life hangs in the balance as Ariella attempts to put a lawyering on Callista and her team.
25	25	The Money Men	June 25, 2023
Ariella came to Lincoln’s defense against Callista, but Callista’s lawyer Shocking-Cock Kahn got the upper hand. If Lincoln wants to change his contract with Callista and have her keep his son safe on the Shelf, he must protect Callista from deadly bounty hunters. Before Lincoln goes on the hunt for the Flechette Sisters, Oleus Oakbeard, and Boss Hawg, he needs to put his affairs in order and find out what happened to his friend Patrick Cantrell.
26	26	Debts Paid	July 2, 2023
Lincoln went to Cordis to find out why Dillon Cantrell hadn’t delivered Lincoln’s gold to Bingles, only to learn Dillon had been mugged by some thugs shaking down Cantrell & Cantrell. Lincoln is unhappy with said thugs and is paying them a visit. Meanwhile, Billy needs to learn how to fight and fast if he’s going to survive the next few days. Can Magda teach him the basics?
27	27	Family Time	July 9, 2023
Lincoln beat the holy hell out of the guy who mugged Dillon Cantrell, got the gold he needed to pay off Bingles, and took ten grand for himself. Whatever will he spend it on? Lincoln feels lost and alone. He’s been duped by Callista into protecting her, and now he’s contemplating going head-to-head with four deadly bounty hunters. And before he heads out on a mission from which he might not make it back, he needs to help Magda with Billy’s training.
28	28	Gathering the Troops	July 16, 2023
Things are heating up in Lumencia. Butch and the Rolling Outlaws are in cahoots with Boss Hawg, but Butch and his crew can’t handle the powers of the enlightened. Can Hawg help them out? Lincoln and Magda just finished a training session with Billy that saw the kid stomp off, furious that Lincoln didn’t remember killing Billy’s friend Joe. So heated was the argument that Dragon — Lincoln’s dog — went after Billy to console him. Meanwhile, Dante Oganov is putting the finishing touches on his campaign to eliminate Callista and take over as the head crime lord of Lumencia. What does he have in store for her and those who want to protect her?
29	29	To Grandmother's House We Go	July 23, 2023
Lincoln and Shitbird left to fight for Callista, and Billy just plain left. Frustrated and upset, he figured out how to break Magda’s meshwork seal that kept him inside the Old Stone Church. Meanwhile, Dante gathered his mercenaries together to prep them for the coming fight against Lincoln, Callista, and her bodyguard, Bobby. Can Callista call up enough troops to take on Dante’s boys from Miami?
30	30	Sex Magic?	July 30, 2023
Callista ordered Lincoln to protect her from Dante’s assassins, a murderer’s row that includes Boss Hawg, the Flechette Sisters, and the druid-sorcerer Oleus Oakbeard. Shitbird signaled to Lincoln that Dante’s troops had been spotted. Callista sent Lincoln and her boy-toy Mercutio out to take out an assassin or two before the real battle begins. Meanwhile, Billy tried to go to his apartment to warn his Gramma to leave town, but he saw Butch’s men around the place — Billy bailed and pedaled for the Old Stone Church. Dante and Oleus were on the roof of Callista’s old four-story factory building, using a cockeye to search for Lincoln. If they can find him, they can send the others to take him out.
31	31	Light 'Em Up	August 6, 2023
Butch followed Billy back to the Old Stone Church and was able to lead his Rolling Outlaw gang members into the entryway. Dragon the dog turned into Dragon the dragon, but Butch used a meshwork ring given to him by Boss Hawg to bind the protector. Magda and Ariella came out of the nave to face off against Butch and his men. Ariella used her threadwork necklace to make the Outlaws’ guns heat up to the point where the men could not hold them. Meanwhile, Mercutio led Lincoln through the tunnels beneath Callista’s building. The unlikely duo is about to take on the Flechette sisters and their big cats in a skirmish that could determine the course of the battle.
32	32	Tequila!	August 13, 2023
Butch and the Rolling Outlaws followed Billy to the Old Stone Church and used a spell given to him by Boss Hawg to bind Dragon in a golden meshwork net. Magda and Ariella tried to fight Butch and his men, but Magda’s flashback from her fight with Vestinian left her helpless in the fetal position. Ariella rescued Magda. The two women are likely somewhere in the church, being hunted by Butch’s men. Butch then told Billy it was time for Billy to pay for Big Hack’s death. Dante and his bounty hunters are coming for Callista. Outside her building, Lincoln and Mercutio attacked the Flechette Sisters and their giant panthers. Lincoln landed a near-killing shot on Betty Flechette, then fled for the secret passage that led into the building where he and Mercutio could connect with Callista, her Club Kid troops, and her bodyguard Bobby the Minotaur. Mercutio used the passage's door to cut a pursuing panther in half, but Veronica Flechette blew up that door, filling the passage with smoke and broken brick.
33	33	Blood on the Dance Floor	August 20, 2023
Billy, Magda, Ariella, and Dragon are at the Old Stone Church, under assault from Butch and the Rolling outlaws. Billy and Butch fought one-on-one. Billy broke Butch’s knee, but his celebration was short-lived — Money Monday beat Billy down, leaving him a limp mess atop the now fifteen-foot-long Dragon, who has been bound up in a ball by a meshwork net provided to Butch by Boss Hawg. Magda did some damage to B’Lockay and to Money Monday, but she collapsed in fear brought on by memories of her fight with Vestinian and the Umataken. Ariella used her limited magic to drag Magda into the nave and shut the doors tight, leaving men to try and shoulder their way through. Across town, the club kids and Dante’s Miami thugs are battling it out at Callista’s club. Callista hurt Oleus Oakbeard, but she was knocked silly by Boss Hawg. She’s down, with only Gary Satyr to protect her against Dante’s forces, but Lincoln and Bobby are about to enter the fray.
34	34	A Very Good Girl	August 27, 2023
Bobby, Gary Satyr, Mercutio, and all the club kids are down for the count, leaving only a badly wounded Lincoln and a battered Callista to stand against Dante, Oleus Oakbeard, Boss Hawg, and the last of Dante’s Miami thugs. Meanwhile, at the Old Stone Church, Billy is trying to free Dragon from the meshwork net that keeps her from attacking Butch and the Rolling Outlaws.
35	35	Epilogue	September 3, 2023
The aftermath of the final battle(s) has left Linc and Billy battered and broken, but a new danger is already closing in.
